the late belated Taiwan post:
this was at Chiang Kai shek's museum if I'm not wrong.
and Susian, if you happen to pop by my blog, don't you think this guy looks just like you? :D
nice architecture
and the next morning we had no money for a proper b/f, so had to make do with $40NT H&c bread.
BUT it was superb yummy, so all of us got high on it, as illustrated ^^
aren't they jus boomz?
only 2 pc of money left... :(
very tired but happy shoppers cos....
cos...
cos
....
(ignore my face cos I was cheated into buying NT$80 papaya!!!)
cos we had a great time @ Shihlin night market~
check out her face wakaka.
our fav snack, some soft custard like bun with moist pork & chive filling.
think we had 2 or 3 consecutively.
CAN I GO BACK THERE NOW.
@ Dan Shui's Fishermen's wharf.
two words: damn chiosxz!!!!
with the breathtaking view, it's little wonder why they say it's a good place for lovers.
a very nice place to chillax with friends too.
pardon my lesbian-y pose.
it's a good thing she doesnt really visit my blog..
was she complaining about something (again)?? :PP
aWwWwww... ultimate sweetness.
just check out the mountain range in the background.

Well, this concludes part II for now.

okieee. here's the perfunctory post during the mugging period:
seriously, schools should look at another time to hold examinations.
why spoil our year-end that is supposedly festive & joyous with such dreary stuff!
pffft.
oh yes, to any potential TS1101E takers out there, do think twice before you act. (pun intended)
still feeling very sore and abused after our "wasted effort".
but shall attempt, feebly, to pull up my grades for this Non-s/u module.
anyhoodles, I can't wait for the last paper to come, because there will be an onslaught of December celebrations! :)))
and I'll end off with my rather dated composition.
very apt for the monsoon, if I dare say so myself:
"Cackling skies, there gather the dark ladies
Deep into the clouds they hide
Cacophonous delight!
Flashing streaks of stunning white
show, as they run amok through the night
Tired of playing hide and seek,
one of them decided to take the lead
That was when the child in them started the stampede
Oh, beating out such lovely hits!
Zooming past on their steeds of wind,
(wondrous) sounds of joy blend into songs to sing
Oh, cacophonous delight!"
favourite poem thus far.
hope you liked it as much as I did.
Oh, narcissisistic delight.

Alritey, my post wisdom op post as promised..
Just as I imagined, the experience was as traumatising as I thought it to be.
Talk about reinforcing my fear.
First of all, I had to wait 45 min before it was my turn and I was early somemore!
The wait was indeed agonising.. as worst-case scenarios kept running through my head:
"What if the drill went past my tooth and hurt my nerve? Will I become paralysed anot???"
"Scarli the anaesthetic dont work how? How to tell Dr Chin??"
Well when it was finally my turn, I wasn't surprised that my usually cold feet had turned colder.
And it was NOT reassuring at all when they told me a lot of patients' hearts would also go
"BOOM, BOOM, BOOM" aka "砰砰跳"
just before the op.
It really felt like it was about to leap out of my mouth if not for the fact that I had a drill in my mouth.
The only redeeming part about the thing was Anaesthesia, which I thank all scientists for.
*blows kisses all around to people in white lab coats*
I know, DUH, it's supposed to help but I needed quite a few doses of it cos I kept feeling the drill when Dr Chin was attempting to break my tooth apart.
So I was like half paralysed when I had to keep putting up my hand to indicate pain.
(Not a very glamorous position.)
Process:
1. Lie down, get Anaesthesia injected and request for liberal amounts
2. Try to get comfortable, and blast your favourite songs on your player.
(seriously, this DID LITTLE to help. XJT's "疼痛" ("Pain") was playing at the drilling part @.@ )
3. Always start with the impacted tooth cos I'm a believer of the idiom: "先苦后甜".. (always do the hard things first and enjoy later; translation doesnt matter as long as you get the drift!)
4. Ignore the sounds that you hear by focusing on a faraway spot
5. Pt 4 is much easier said than done cos 1) Chin's drill is ****ing loud and it's right beside the ear
2) His drill is directly on my jaw bone so every vibration
produces a spine-chilling sound
6. Try your best to relax and do not scrunch your chin
7. Endure for about 15-20 mins and give yourself a pat on the back when the impacted tooth is removed.
8. The normal tooth's extraction was so much more straightforward cos all Dr Chin had to do was to
"Grip, hold, and pull"
It was over in 3 minutes I swear.
Why can't all my wisdom tooth be as un-complicated as that?!!! Life sucks.
9. Lastly: At all times, grab the Chair for support and raise your hand if it gets unbearable.
Well, good riddance, I'd say!
Let's see what they have to say:
This is the upper tooth, non-impacted.
ie. grows out straight like normal teeth.
I think you're really cute too!
Hmm... not so sure about this though.
This is the naughty impacted tooth.
And yes, I never knew that teeth could be hollow!
Cool or what..
Aww.. poor you!
Do rest R.I.P (17th Sep 09)..
And yes it is double-rooted, compared to my previous one.
A tooth can have many roots, depending on which
type it is.
Yes i went to google all these info.
Quite a mouthful eh? (Pun intended.)
You're kinda cute too... Muahaha!
Okay and now prepare yourselves for the swelling.
This was about 1 hour after the op, face still oval-shaped.
2-3 hours later, I look like I have an egg in my cheek :'(
And this was 4-5 hours later, when it REALLY swelled.
I didnt know my sister took it, but since she did, might as well show you guys.
(And I swear it was a great source of joy to my family, as will be to you.. >.>)
But pls hor, dont spread it rampantly.
Post op 2nd day's swelling was worse but no pictures!
Now it's the 3rd day already and the swelling's subsided significantly ^^
But I am super conscious of it....
Well that's all for my traumatic experience.
And counting down to the next one with much dread....

alritey, a quick post from school.
as some of you may know, I'm gna extract my wisdom teeth soon.
and yes, all 4 at one go....
there's only pain in my right lower jaw, which ebbs like an indecisive wave.
(ie. it comes and goes; pardon the whimsical description. can't help it!)
anyhow, it's making me miserable since i cant enjoy my dinner.
which is effectively my only proper meal of the day.
(more about the Why-s of this later)
so I am like this nearing meal time:
pouty and irritable.
Hence the decision to take out my teeth
*cues Hannibal Lector-ish image*
since it's a matter of time anyway..
BUT, the last extraction for my braces has left me with vivid memories.
it's like i can still hear the "Ping!" of my tooth as they were extracted.
plus, the fact(s) that my head was held down by people and that I was totally helpless
DO(ES) NOT HELP AT ALL.
so, I am really being eroded by dread as every minute draws me nearer to Doomsday.
If there's anything i fear besides Lizards, it has to be Extractions......
wish me Bravery!
and stay tuned for pictures of broken teeth yeah? ^^
PS: I am not a masochist although I have a high pain threshold....

been neglecting this space for too long.
(a dated post, 3rd Aug 09)
**
in a way, i've been really lucky to join Zenith associates..
cos J & N are really nice bosses whom encourage a very youthful as well as open culture.
just this weekend, we organised a Singles' party for their clients & man, it was a smooth sailing event on board the yachts, "Whatever" & "(Sorry I forgot the name!)".
the party with fun & hip people was simply smth unforgettable.
sitting at the front of the deck, with the seabreeze in one's hair, seeing nothing but black sea and lighted buildings in the horizon..
once again, it made me feel that the world is a playground for exploration & that nobody should be restricted by conventions.
in other words, too much sea & booze made me emo. ahem.
need to add a big thank-you to my "date" who took me on the first cruise where we saw the N-day fireworks, cos apparently a lot of girls were eyeing him.
Well, the keyword's apparently =D
Some pics now:
Door gifts! Don't belittle it, a lot of effort okay...

Guests busily searching for the Treasures...

Speed dating segment.
Bad shot of this guy...

Nerissa, very happy cos no need to speed date... !$#%

This is the life baby!

I'm sure Mu agrees ^;^
(For more pics, go to my FB.. blogger's acting PMS-ing now!!!!)
and there was free clubbing & drinks later on, thanks to J <3
it was damn crazy once we got to Phuture, where the seemingly decent I who apparently doesnt "drink nor club" took off his top together with 2 other guys in the group and started "Jump Jump Jump"-ing to a house mix!!!
i guess the 8 jugs of alcohol really did some wonders in making them show their true colours... ;) but clubbing with guys like I, WK & D sure is fun, not to mention the girls T, XW, HX,M & N
(i know you must be thinking, why the f*** does she have to use their initials, cannot say name meh???!! BUT, i'm doing this just cos I FEEL like it today... wahahaha)
and no wonder N kept saying the dancefloor was moving cos I swear my bathroom spun when I did my laundry later on.
the biggest Thank-You must be given to J, who was really awesome cos he sent every Westie (forgive the cheesy-ness) home in his Subaru.
anyways, i hope everyone who turned up really enjoyed themselves to the fullest & do stay tuned for future events!
*HINT: something spooky & Happening.
PS: I'm pleasantly surprised that I didnt get any ringing in my ears the day after Zouk cos we were practically dancing in front of the boom box the WHOLE freaking time. tsk.

okie doks.
new phrase at work ;)
after much lamenting (ie. nicer term for complaining/whining), I've finally landed a job.
... at Prudential.
I know, spare me the immediate "???" or "O.O?"
Basically, I'm a financial planner's PA right now and it's plenty of fun cos the ppl there are all young (twenties), hip and fun-loving.
Perfect culture for me, imo.
So I'm also in the process of becoming a part time agent.
(aka: very busy period of studying for the exams/working = no time to be in the virtual world)
Again, don't judge me yet.
It's good pay (and by good, I mean at least hundreds) and very flexible for students who have some spare time and want to earn $ equivalent to the amt of effort put in.
This is so recruitment talk, but if you are someone who likes talking to new people and am money-motivated..... plus not afraid of rejection, you might want to come down for the next Business Opportunity Conference ;)
Some pictures of my colleagues when we went for Korean steamboat:

I've never tried Korean before this....
Cos my mentality is like, all Kimchi??
But this restaurant at Tanjong Pagar has converted me.
(plus the influence of Gu Jun Pyo ^^)

KoKo Na Raaaaaaa
Dubious food item that beared a close resemblance to Ner's manicured thumb..

This is Kai Wei

This is Nerissa, and Kenn being very animated behind her.
P/s: I'm Ner's Pa.

Dont let the all-veg appearance fool you!
Full of thick ham & sausages.. yum.

L -> R: Jialong (oldest, wahaha!), Wee Kiat, Charles.

Ended the night with drinks @ Old School.
In all, a very fun group of ppl to be with!

I thought I'd blog about my handphone's adventure since I have so much free time.
As some of you may know, I'm using Nokia's N6610 currently.
Because, my dear Samsung literally flipped after 1.5 years of abuse.
Note to violent self: treat all phones gently!
In case it got so ancient that you forgot how it looked like, here's a picture just for your benefit:
So, I was walking towards Taman Jurong Food Centre to meet my family for dinner.
I was late after tuition, thus I was walking pretty fast.
And as you know, hands swing when walking, right?
No offence, but anyone whose doesn't should make friends with Frankenstein.
Upon reaching the 3rd level, my right hand suddenly lost its grip on the Nokia.
So the swinging action lifted it into a projectile motion, that can be broken into 3 phases.
Phase I:
It flew into the air with a beautiful arc, before hitting a railing.
Poor N had its back detached at that mo.
The latter then bounced towards an elderly uncle who was going down the escalator.
I swear it was one of those moments when you wish a hole would just eat you up.
Then he looked at my flying phone cover (and wt* managed to catch it!!) and back at me,
when I was beginning to mouth the words "O-h, m-y g-o-d."
Hole-eat-me-up moment intensifies.
Phase II:
The remaining part of the phone then bounced off the railing before hitting the arm of the escalator going down to the 2nd floor.
(the one where the amazing elderly catcher was standing on)
A tiny hope flared up in me, thinking: "Okay, not so bad. Land on 2nd floor still can take."
But no.
It had to bounce AGAIN on the railing of the 2nd floor!!!!!
Knn.
Phase III:
So this last bounce carried it all the way to hell.
Really, 'cos it landed on the ceiling of a wet market stall and broke into its separate components,
namely: battery, front screen & keypad.
Inside myself, I went: "Gone case liao. No phone can withstand that.."
And of course, "How the **** can I reach it??"
With an air of resignation, I headed over to our table and proceeded to give details.
But you know what?
Brilliant Qin suggested borrowing a broom to sweep it off the ceiling of the stall.
Nothing could be worse after I had braved through the Hole-eat-me-up moment.
So I went ahead.
Luckily it was evening and not much people were patronising the Indian spices stall already.
Some more the lady boss was damn nice about it.
Next time I buy Tumeric/Ginger from you hor?
And, with much needed instructions/guide from my sis on the 2nd floor, I got all the pieces back.
Amazement, I tell you.
有志者事尽成!
And wait for the pic she took of me, sweeping the ceiling like an idiot.
The next most amazing thing was, the N6610 could still work after I fixed it back!
RAWr.
I could text, and not worry about not being able to reply WX's last msg.
People could call me up to arrange for an interview and I won't have to worry about being unemployed (NOT!).
That's it.
My next phone confirm Nokia N series already.
Yup, so that concludes the adventure.
And now, on a recent event I did.
"PWN water technologies launch"

Don't see the name so grand, but I was just there to conduct health screening related duties.
But I'm not complaining, cos the pay's pretty good & I get good food.
Thank you Avvenues & Sinyee for this sole employment opportunity.
It was pretty okay, and the location was at:

With an awesome view of Mount Faber & cable cars to ride, it's perfect for chilling out.

The event was held at Sapphire, an alfresco dining cafe.
Really nice place, with cool winds and nice surroundings.

Koi pond.

Don't be mistaken.
I didn't wear this for work.
Attire was supposed to be all white.
So I donned the sleeveless white dress that I wore for WB's comms' ball.
*Edited*
Got the pic from Sin Yee
2nd Note to self: Do something abt those arms!

Nice standing areas.
But those drapes proved a hell to fold!

Fellow colleagues enjoying the yummy buffet ^^
And lastly, my Twitter background.
Sorry P, I had to protect your identity online.
P/S: Did you know the app has been around for about 3 years to date?
I first got exposed to it during one of my mods in NUS, where the lecturer wanted to use it to keep track of our daily progress.
Afterwhich, it died cos no one else around me was using it.
But apparently, the situation's different now with more phenomena of ppl preferring this micro-blogging trend instead of typing loooonng posts back in the past.
Disclaimer: I still love blogging.
I use Twitter more for short updates or to feed my voyeuristic instincts.

Note: a whiny post.
****
Now, would somebody pleeeeeeeeeease hire me?
I'm half-bored to death at home already...
Finding jobs has never been so tough!
And as I happily thought that I was gonna become a multi-media trainer at an kickass $20/hr,
(after receiving a confirmation email that said: "Congrats, you have been selected....")
the 2nd email that started with "Due to overwhelming responses..." totally popped my bubble.
I HATE EMAILS & EMPLOYERS WHO TAKE MANPOWER FOR GRANTED!!!!!
Just in case I didnt make my point clear enough,
I HATE EMAILS & EMPLOYERS WHO TAKE MANPOWER FOR GRANTED!!!!!
Who invented emails anyway?
They just make the world an uglier place...
See, if there wasnt any email, I wouldnt have gotten that stupid mail in the 1st place.
& I can just ignore my phonecalls on the pretext of being overseas.
So when I do turn up for the job, they will be too paiseh to reject me and viola!
I'll have a job as a multi-media trainer at an kickass $20/hr.
Problem solved.
NOT.
(The above paragraphs were for venting purposes only & should not be taken seriously)
Anyhow, to all my potential employers out there:
Do not pass up on this chance to hire a great worker who has the ability to:
1) Converse fluently in English & Mandarin
2) Work very well under stress & pressure
3) Cooperate & contribute efficiently to group efforts
Hesitate no more!
So, while I am awaiting those emails, lemme just update y'all on my life.
I've had so much time on hand that the MJ set has been taken out religiously the past weeks.
Am honing my Man Tai skills.
Any kakis then?

If I'm not playing MJ, I'll be out exploring new food haunts.
This is Ben Ten @ JP.
Pretty good soft shell crab sushi by my standards.
We also had the Ben Ten set, with chicken chop & fries.
A very normal-tasting set.
The 2 dishes were pretty pricey, coming to a high $29!!!
So, imo, 3/5 stars overall.
Spend those bucks on Crystal Jade instead.
It never disappoints ^^

This was at Modestos in Orchard.
DD1's recommendation.
A good choice, because of the nice ambience & pizzas.
Even the mushroom one was good, so what more can one complain about?
(I <3>
Oh, the appetizer.
It had good calamari&fries.
But the fish tasted flaky & bland, & the lights were too warm for comfort.
We kept pespiring!
Otherwise, a good restaurant.
Overall rating: 4/5
If I'm not eating/playing MJ, it will be simply hanging out.
One of the highlights is the Asian Pacific Brewery, APB for short.
Went on courtesy of P's parents.

It was indeed an eye-opener, seeing the manufacturing process.
& of course, tasting the different brews.
They included the likes of: ABC stout, Guiness, Heineken, Tiger etc.
But I'm more of a liquor person, so I didnt down too much beer.
Unlike somebody who said: "Cos free one mah, must drink more!"
Drink until merlion lor.
Lately, I also discovered a new place for badminton.
Am a frequent visitor.
And of course, this long money-drought has also allowed me to catch up with my inner nerd.
Latest fave:

By Tom Rob Smith.
It is a thriller set in the backdrop of German war & is one hell of a great suspense novel.
Anyone spot "The Secret Speech" by the same author, pls scream for me.
So that about sums up the life of a nerd, me.
And now I'm stuck at home, blogging:

With the curtains drawn cos of the f***ing sun
And eating:

Pear&Jelly (the new P&J) for lunch.

***WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY POST***
Finally, back from Taiwan.
What an awef***ingsome trip!
Service over there is friendly and sincere,
with them willingly offering you to try on the clothes and making small talk..
oh, i simply love Shih Lin's vintage tees! =P
street food was good too, with a diverse offering to choose from.
i especially miss the:
水果冻

Great find by Xiang at Tong Hua night market, which was just beside our hotel =DD
Basically this snack is made up of frozen fruits coated with a layer of plum powder.
Then it is wrapped with a layer of edible candy sheet, like the ones on Big Rabbit sweets?
Absolut shiok-nessss.
阿宗面线
Ah Zong's Mee sua @ Shih Lin
According to SK, this is THE mee sua to eat.
Indeed, the taste did not disappoint =D
Fresh ingredients of spring onion & chewy pig's intestines made the vermicilli a joy to slurp.
Sooooo much better than SG's version, which always has a fishy taste due to stale oysters!
卤肉饭
We had our first taste of it at Rao He night market, which was tastier.
But was too lazy to snap a pic of it..
It was a simple dish of just rice topped with the braised meat, but I swear, it was Da-Bomb.
(another yummy treat found at Rao He was the 胡椒饼, a baked bun wrapped around a substantive amount of meat & veg, that bursts into your mouth with much aroma & flavour)
So this substitute found at Dan Shui shall do lah.
Not as good cos the meat was a bit too kiam.
BUT, the egg made up for it, cos it tasted like Marutama's life-changing egg.. =D
Sadly, singapore's imitations cannot even begin to compare.
Even the pearls in TW's bubble tea are more Q lor!
They also have 卟叮奶茶, which is a must have.
(almost every night after we discovered its existence)
and we finally got to taste 臭豆腐 in its essence, soaked in pungent wet juices.
the first taste was bitter, surprisingly.
the flavour of it grew as my tastebuds adjusted to its bitterness, which was pretty nice actually.
i also tried 猪血糕, and i liked it.
*i can see some of you having this O.O face already lor*
It's basically glutinous rice soaked in pig's blood, which
gave it a sweet taste that was complemented by the rice's chewy texture.
Not that bloody lah, really!
And more pictures below:

Arrival at the Miramar, a place similar to Paragon.
I liked it cos of the friendly feel and good architecture.
Shopping in it was a relaxing experience, with nice ambience & service =D
Oh yes, go to Carrefour next door cos they have great treats that arent found in Sg!
Eg: Lays in Kyushi Seaweed, Mala Spicy, Lime, Hot Squid & the 满傼大餐maggi mee are a must have (vaccuum-packed real meat given).
View from atop the Wheel

We were lucky enough to witness a marriage proposal going on.
It reads, "Princess, Marry me."
Awww.. =)

Machiam squatters..

Check out the mountain range in the bg!

Tired ah..

Uber cute salesgirl, who confessed to us her fear of not knowing much English.
She was super relieved that I spoke to her in Chinese & we ended up asking her for tourist hotspots that were good to visit!

I tink it was at Tong Hua Night Market that we met these boisterous kids,
all clamouring for their dad.
Cute or just plain scary? =D

Good teppanyaki @ Tong Hua
It's called 红蚂蚁, aka Red Ant.

Erm, our friendly chef for the night =D

Congestion on the roads.
We were on the way back after Leo Foo village.

Arrival at Leo Foo, after a looong bus ride.

Time to enter the zoo within LF!

And can you believe it? Real vultures spotted!!

Happily on the carousel..
Fyi, I hate all rides that go round & round..
Why cant they be all like Vikings or G8 MaxForce or simply Rollercoasters??

Hahaha, our dumb unicorn ride..

Nice architecture

They very excited to go into the giant teacup.

Whoopee! But somehow, we all got queasy after it...
Must be the dumb Dragon ride:

The sign reads: The Gigantic Sea Monster.
It was another ride that went round & round..

See I so happy.
That was before I found out abt the prowess of the Gigantic Sea Monster..
大海怪才怪leh!

Dolphin boat ride..
Tranquil & relaxing =D
Me likes.

See Jannah & I so happy.

See Xiang so happy.

See Mu & Pat so happy.
This was one good ride!

And this is Da-Bomb, i tell you.
No time to breathe as it zooms up, and it was almost impossible not to scream.
Exciting like hell and watch the ground zoom towards ur face as your legs fly up!

Then, it was another night that found us at Rao He.
Fantastic night market with good buys & food.

The legendary Peanut shaving icecream!
Yum.
We went into this majestic temple beside it..
Shizz i forgot the name.
Sb help me with this!

Beautiful & intricate details fill the interior..
What magnificence!

Speak low, people.
On to Taipei 101~

With Damper Baby
A quick glimpse of Shih Lin night market.

Breathtaking scenery at Dan Shui
Taiwanese really love to come up with quirky ideas..
Ferrets for pets??
I wonder how they communicate..
超可爱 cheeseway vendor ^^

Love seat in the park
But be careful, there might be people watching... teehee.
Mango ice shaving that falls off in flakes..
Melts immediately in your mouth.
Singapore's desserts will nv taste the same.

Lemme jus reiterate how nice this snack is.
To end off part I,
I tink I'm in love with TW, cos almost everything abt it appeals to me.
prolly except the nasal high- pitched way of talking..
everyday was about shopping, sightseeing and eating.
luckily there was a lot of walking involved too, otherwise i would become just like my friends:

watch out for part II of this TW post as I havent covered other local attractions such as the Taipei 101, Dan Shui Fisherman's Wharf, CKS Memorial Hall etc.
PS: after eating the 满傼大餐 beef brisket noodle, i'm struck with post-TW blues! :(

one more day till my exams are oveerrrr...
isn't it frustrating how the inertia to change your bad habits is always so tough to get past?
every time before exams i'll go, "okay, this sem must be consistent ah.."
and every time during exams i'll go, "what happened to self discipline and all the time i need??"
but it's too late, and old habits die hard.
words of a lazy procrastinator...

oh yes, i heard this on YES93.3 a while back...
Chong Qing was issuing a challenge for all children out (t)here, to say "I love you" to their parents, because 爱不能等待... and it's ironic how we say it with such ease to our peers yet find it such a garguantan task when faced with our parents.
I did it, and it wasnt so bad after all..
i blame it on the Chinese culture, where we are not so exibitionistic and tend to show our love thru' subtler methods rather than to display it affectionately.
plus Singaporeans scared to lose face, you know?
anyhow, take up this challenge now because once again, 爱不能等待.
PS: 完美并不美 is stuck in my head! <3 李玖哲...

alritey, time for an update:
ECP Flea Market '09
been bogged down by projects cos this is the period where deadlines fall like missiles..
anyway, the flea market was a fun experience;
despite the weather moodswings, gg from scorching hot (I've a watch imprint & PY has a flower imprint =.=) to heavy downpours.
i guess the sky's female, cos it's akin to PMS-ing =D
we made good friends with our friendly neighbours from pushingbooks.livejournal.com, where they sell the latest books at 30% off retail prices.
drank gallons of Big Gulp & tried Carls' Jr's Guacamole Burger (not bad)/criss cut fries (best).
of cos, gotten many good bargains:
1) My Sister's Keeper + The God of Small Things @ $5
2) Polo Ralph Lauren pc in baby green
and... the ultimate
3) GG5 pieces at $2!!!
and most importantly, learnt the value of being entrepreneurial, along with the art of preserverance & patience.
in simpler words, remain smiling when customer(s) ask for $0.50 discount.
--> a Kosmo bag was going at $5 and he still wanted to get it at $4.50, saying that he was the one suffering cos he had to pay for his wife's whims.
bloody chickenmcnuggets, don't tell me that you are the one suffering when I have to endure you & your cheap-o ways as a customer!
when he took out change, there was more than $5 , & he pointedly ignored the fact (which i mentioned to him) that there was a neat $1 coin (which would add up to $5 nicely with his two $2 bills), insisting on the $0.50 discount
%$@%#!#
if not for py, i wld NOT have sold it to him, and instead donated it to the Salvation Army.
***
that said, I'm not as angry as I sound.
actually pretty much amused by the incident, cos you will only find this happening in SG.
another interesting person was our co-partner, Ivan.
you'll find out more in the pictures.
Day 1:
Good weather to start the day with!
(Taken from my place)

Nice view along AYE.
(In D's car)
This is PY faking a smile.
(In the f***ing hot sun)
Never, ever, ever sell only balloons at a flea.
NEVER.
We had Jay in Inital D.
And come 2009, we have Angel D.
Me?
I'm no angel, because I am already angelic.
Angel Ivan giving me an Ice Massage.
It was really shocking for my skin though, cos it was still f***ing hot then!
No wonder I have pore problems.
Day 2:
Much better sales, due to great merchandise & people.
Points given for getting the names correct.

Me thinks Ivan just found his soulmate...
It was just coincidental that this sk8ter boy had the tatto on his back.
But, damn cool right!
One very, very tall building along Raffles place.
We went there for a very late dinner @ Lau Pa Sat.
Try the new ShangHai stall (can't recall the name), it's a prominent diamond shape stall right smack in LPS' middle.
Banyak Sedap!

Stoned people on the 97 back home.
We decided that the blurred picture looks gr8.
Hearts you bff.
PS: Flamez should do a flea together someday!
